Invisalign Clear Aligner Treatment
INVISALIGN CLEAR ALIGNER TREATMENT
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment method that uses special software to straighten teeth and arches; it is transparent, aesthetic, comfortable, and can be removed and inserted by the person themselves.
The digital impression taken from the mouth by the orthodontist, i.e., 'intraoral 3D scanning', is transferred to the computer. A result simulation is created according to the treatment plan prepared by your doctor using special software.
In customized planning, it is possible for the patient to see and evaluate how long the treatment will take and the result that will be achieved at the end of treatment through simulation.
AGE LIMIT FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN IN INVISALIGN CLEAR ALIGNER TREATMENT
Although age and timing suitable for adults are not particularly important in this treatment, the decision made by the orthodontist after examination is important.
To start clear aligner treatment with Invisalign First, the six-year molars and at least one incisor tooth must be present in the mouth. Evaluation can be done from age 6-7. Again, the decision made by the orthodontist after examination is also important for pediatric patients.
Things to Consider While Using
The aligners need to be worn for 20-22 hours a day. The person receiving clear aligner treatment should not eat while the aligners are in their mouth and should not consume anything hot.
About Clear Aligner Cleaning
The most important factor to consider for healthy oral care is brushing both teeth and aligners before putting the aligners in the mouth. Since abrasive materials in toothpaste can cause micro-level damage to aligners, the use of toothpaste is not recommended for aligner cleaning. Simply rinsing with water and brushing the aligner with a soft toothbrush will be sufficient.
